Azad was born on 25july 1906 in Madhya Pradesh, basically his father Mr, Sitaram Tiwari was from Unnao, a village of Uttar Pradesh. His father was in the police service and he lived in Unnao. Azad was fond of eating mangoes he left his house at the age of 13 yrs due to some argument with his father he never came back.
He caught a train and reached Bombay he did various work to survive like washing dishes in restaurants and labour in construction work. one day he left for Banaras for his further studies in Hindi and Sanskrit from Kashi Vidhya peeth.
One famous quote about Kashi Vidyapeeth was this college produce Revolutionary.
Mahatma Gandhi had started a non-cooperation movement and Chandra Shekhar Azad participated in the non-cooperation movement; he had been arrested for that. Police officer ordered one of his subordinates to beat him. In the first shot he shouted Vande Matram and continued here he was named him self AZAD.

British police treated non-congress leaders; they did not give food, clothes to the revolutionaries. Azad formed a Group named HINDUSTAN REPUBLIC ARMY and planned a Kakori Conspiracy to run the organization. This kakori Robbery was executed on 9 aug 1925 led by Ram prasad Bismil and Asfaq Ullah khan. All members of the group were arrested by the British except Chandra Shekhar Azad and Kundal Lal. Ram prasad Bismil and Asfaq Ullah khan were sentenced to death whole group was broken.
Chandra Shekhar Azad went to Jhansi and Kanpur to reorganize the group where he met with Bhagat Singh where Bhagat Singh formed a group Naujeevan Sabha. lala Lajpat rai was killed during the protest against Simon Commission arrived in india in 1927. Azad and Bhagat Singh took the revenge of Lala Lajpat Rai death by killing British Police Officer Saunders on 17 Dec 1927 and escaped.

Lord Inwin launched two bills on 8 April 1929 first was Public safety bill and Trade union bill. Chandra Shekhar Azad and Bhagat Singh planned an assembly Bomb incident against bills introduced by the British. Batukeshwar dutt and Bhagat Singh were chosen for the plan execution, after a heated discussion with the Sukhdev and Ramsaran Das. Bhagat Singh took the charge and threw the bomb in the assembly and was arrested by British police. Another plan was made to kill lord Inwin but missed the opportunity.
Gandhiji wrote the editorial article in the newspaper about the ideology of young revolutionary, Chandra Shekhar Azad was not happy with the Gandhiji ‘s article ,he made a plan to escape bhagat Singh from jail but this plan was flopped while executing due to death of Bhagwati Charan while bomb exploded before throwing and another plan was made but this plan too flopped.

Azad was against the women recruiting in the group. Chandra Shekhar found that his group fellow Yashpal was in love with a lady and ended the fund of the group on himself and decided to kill him. He gave the charge to group members Veerbhadra and Kailashpati but they did not. On 27th February 1931 Azad and Sukhdev raj and Yashpal came to Allahabad, for meeting at the Alfred park in Allahabad
Yashpal saw Veerbhadra and tell Azad that Veerbhadra had gone to police station to inform about Azad was in Alfred park Sukhdev raj and Yashpal escaped but Chandra Shekhar Azad fought courageously and finally last bullet left in revolver, he himself shot last bullet on his head and dead at the spot. This was his pledge that he is Azad and always be Azad.
