Chanakya Amar Chitra Katha pdf – Chanakya was an Indian philosopher, Statesman, Professor and Economist. He was also known as Kautilya and Vishnugupta. He was a kingmaker of the Mauryan Empire because he was the man who had prepared the foundation of the Mauryan Empire and expanded the Mauryan Empire, which has been the largest Empire of India till now. Chanakya was always in favour of unity because he believed that there should be a centralised system that would rule everyone.
It is estimated that Chanakya was born in 350 BC in Chanka village in Golla Vishaya to a Brahmin family. He was born with a full set of teeth. He was sent to the Takshashila School to study Vedas and Economics. later became a professor in Takshashila.

To protect Chandragupta Maurya from his enemy, Chankya used to mix small amounts of poison in his food daily which made him habitual of surviving from poison. But one day Chandragupta’s wife Durdhara had eaten his food and died. At that time Bindusara was in her womb then Chanakya cut and opened the stomach of the dead Queen and took out the baby . This was how Bindusara was born.

Chandragupta Maurya abdicated and became a Jain monk and after this the throne automatically transferred to Bindusara. Chanakya was the minister of Bindusara too. But Subandu, who was one of his ministers, provoked Bindusara that Chanakya was responsible for his mother’s death. Bindusara alleged the Chanakya and Chanakya resigned from the kingdom and retired. There are two theories of his death; one was that he went to the forest after hurt from Bindusara’s allegations and decided to starve himself to death.
Second was when Durdha (one of the nurses present at the time of Bindusara’s birth) narrated the whole story to him. Bindusara realised his mistake and he as well as Subandhu tried to convince Chanakya. Chanakya forgave both Bindusara and Subandhu and ended his starvation. But Subandhu’s evil mind took the advantage of the situation and burnt the alive Chanakya. Afterwards he became a Monk.
The Arthashastra is an ancient Indian treatise on Economic Policy ,statecraft, Sociology, Militant Policy written in Sanskrit by Chanakya.
Mr. R. Shamasastry rediscovered Arthashastra in 1905 and published in 1909,when it disappeared. The first English translation was published in 1915.
The Arthashastra has a broad scope because it includes the nature of books on government, laws, Civil and Criminal Court System, Ethics, Economics, Market and Trade, The method for screening ministers, diplomacy, theories on war, nature of peace and the duties and obligations of a King.
The text incorporates Hindu Philosophy, includes ancient economic and cultural details on agriculture, mineralogy, mining and metals, animal husbandry, medicine, forests and wildlife.
Saptanga Theory is also mentioned in the book, a king should follow to run his state. because king can not run alone.
So Chanakya had drafted the model to run the country in his textbook a thousand year ago and today his policies need to be followed to make the country strong and systematic.
